NavCoin 4.5.1 is now available for download! And along with it is a soft fork for ‘static rewards’ (that turns on when 75% of nodes signal for this fork). NavCoin 4.5.1 is now available for download! This is essentially a change to the Proof of Stake algorithm, and the mechanism for how stakers are rewarded.

Last week Core developers began testing new features that are planned to be included the upcoming NavCoin Core 4.5.0 update - the soft forks for cold staking and static rewards. Last week Core developers began testing new features that are planned to be included the upcoming NavCoin Core 4.5.0 update - the soft forks for cold staking and static rewards. This has entailed manual testing of all the features, and writing automated tests that can be run any time code changes are made - to verify that existing functionality still works.

The recent issues with NavPay have been resolved with the updates to the wallet and backend server included in NavPay 4.4.0. Since the Community Fund activated on the mainnet, the NavPay wallet had been experiencing issues sending transactions. Now this is fixed and NavPay is working as it should.

After many months of planning, developing, testing and retesting the NavCoin Community Fund went through its lock-in period and became fully active on Friday last week. Activation means that the world’s first dual-vote Community Fund is open to submissions, proposals can be voted on, and funds released for completed projects.
